These smartphones are viewed as successors to the Redmi Note 8 series launched in India last year. They run Android 10 OS and come with USB Type-C connectivity. The Redmi Note 9 Pro Max and Note 9 Pro also both feature side-mounted fingerprint sensors.
The Redmi Note 9 Pro Max features a 6.67-inch full HD+ IPS display with a 20:9 aspect ratio. Protected by a triple Corning Gorilla Glass 5, this smartphone features a quad rear camera setup with a 64MP primary sensor and a selfie camera with 32MP sensor. The Redmi Note 9 Pro Max is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G SoC and comes with 8GB LPDDR4X RAM and either 64GB or 128GB of internal storage. This device from Xiaomi has a battery with a rating of 5,020mAh and can support fast charging at 33W. The Redmi Note 9 Pro Max costs Rs. 14,999 (approximately $205) for the 6GB RAM+64GB variant and Rs. 16,999 (approximately $230) for the 6GB RAM+128GB variant with the higher end 8GB RAM+128GB variant said to cost Rs. 18,999 ($256). Redmi Note 9 Pro is the same size as the Note 9 Pro Max, is also powered by the same Snapdragon 720G chipset and has the same battery capacity, but has a 16MP selfie camera, a 48MP rear quad camera setup, and utilizes 18W quick charging technology instead. The Redmi Note 9 Pro is set at Rs. 12,999 (approximately $175) for the 4GB RAM+64GB variant while the 6GB RAM+ 128GB variant will cost Rs. 15,999 (approximately $216). References
